Ausecology maintains safety, quality, and environmental management procedures in accordance with our ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 certification.
With this dedication to safety and quality, and our long track record of exceptional performance in this area, our clients can trust that Ausecology will deliver our work to the highest standard, minimise risk and deliver the best outcomes for projects, people, and nature.
Quality commitment
Ausecology has established quality management procedures to achieve our quality policy objectives and underpin our health and safety goals.
We understand that quality management relies upon organisational commitment to the principles of continuous improvement, customer focus, and exceeding minimum statutory compliance requirements. We know that quality management is driven by strong commitment from management and is achievable only when organisational culture and communications are aligned with policy objectives.
Real-time risk management
We have established a Mobile Management System (MMS) utilised by all staff to manage—in real time—health, safety, environmental, and quality risks. All HSEQ data is captured into a database to provide real-time reporting. Data can be analysed at any point and is used in a process of continuous improvement. By using a live database, all staff are empowered to ensure continuous improvement through reporting.
Components of our MMS include a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) which is our principal risk management tool. Ausecology’s JHA procedure incorporates safety and environmental risks and is designed to be used on an ongoing basis to identify and manage risks encountered throughout the full term of the project.
Vehicle safety
With so many of our team regularly out on the road to deliver projects for our clients, we take vehicle safety very seriously and pride ourselves on our industry-leading driver safety standards.
We have a vehicle fleet of 14 mine spec 4WD vehicles all monitored through a dedicated In-Vehicle Monitoring Software (IVMS) system. The IVMS provides real-time data on vehicle location, driver fatigue, journey management, speed, and other parameters that allow us to monitor and manage the risks associated with driving for our projects. The IVMS also allows quick and easy export of information for reporting and analysis. All our vehicles are also fitted with emergency response buttons, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and spill kit as a minimum.
