Ausecology has extensive experience working with Local and State Government. Solutions we have provided to the sector include:
Ausecology was chosen as the company (competitive tender process) to deliver the first offset project administered through the state financial settlement fund, Thesium australe, a threatened plant that could be present within the inland rial alignment. Ausecology undertook the desktop analysis to identify a suitable site/s, gained access to multiple properties for due diligence and landholder discussions, undertook ground truthing and landholder negotiations, legally secured the offset, delivered the approved Offset Area Management Plan to Government, and now undertakes the long-term management including monitoring, trials, controlled burns, landholder engagement, fencing, and weed control.
Ausecology provides a full end-to-end suite of ecological and biodiversity offsetting services. From initial feasibility assessments through to on ground property management and monitoring, Ausecology ensure its clients obtain and maintains environmental compliance with maximum efficiency.
Ausecology acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, and their connections to land, sea and community. In particular, we acknowledge the Custodians of the lands and waters on which we work.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
